PSA
My PSA was about how people don't understand how to fix some computer problems that occur but by using my app they can find a simple solution. My PSA did meet the requirements.
I was very inspired when I saw the Girl Effect and I wanted to use Kinetic Typography to create my PSA. I started working on my PSA on Adobe After effects. I was not familiar with the program therefore I spent a lot of time researching on how to work with it. After I somewhat figured out how to use After Effects, I worked my heart out and about 5 classes and 55 minutes each class later, I was nowhere near what I wanted. And what I made was only about 9 seconds long. I finally decided that After Effects wasn't for me so I asked our professor if I could just use PowerPoint (because I'm really familiar with how to use it). I promised that I could make the transitions go through each slides automatically and that it would be just like a video. But then I realized I had to have it in video format if I had to put it on Youtube or Vimeo.
After doing some research, I figured out how to convert a powerpoint into a video. So I started working on the PSA. The powerpoint ended up being about 230 slides. The I put the slides into Garageband where I added music to go along with the slides. Finally I exported it into a .mov file and uploaded it into YouTube.
I wish I could have thought of using PowerPoint earlier because getting done on time was the hardest part about producing my video. But at the end it turned out okay :)
